rama aryaIn September 2009 I moved to London for a year to study further. London is a fantastic place to live in. There is something for everyone. For someone like me, an art, history and culture buff, it is a veritable treasure trove of the very best that a world city could possibly be. And the cherry on the cake is the country itself, England. A mere few hours train ride can transport one to historic cities steeped in timeless traditions.

This category in my blog includes posts on my travels in London and farther afield.

High resolution versions of most of the images in this blog are available for private and public use at no charge at my image library. Happy reading:)

My favourite walk in London:) It’s also a long walk – from St. Katherine’s docks to Westminster, by the South Bank, meandering over London’s many bridges and through the cathedral, theatres and pubs that hug the edge of the Thames. The nicest part is that as you walk, the sun starts to set and the lights come on and its like walking through one huge painting.

Tower Bridge – the prettiest bridge in the world with its fairytale towers:) Completed in 1894, its mechanism for raising the roadway was a breakthrough in its time.
